David Gingrass has cooked at some of the most important restaurants in California: Spago, Postrio, Brix. But he hasn’t made much noise since he closed his San Francisco restaurant, Two (originally Hawthorne Lane), about five years ago.
But he’s back. This week, local seafood chain Pacific Catch announced that Gingrass is its new executive chef, overseeing culinary operations at the five Bay Area locations.
Pacific Catch just opened its San Mateo location in December, and founders Aaron Noveshen and Keith Cox are still in expansion mode. A new Mountain View location is expected to open next month at 545 San Antonio Road — and it’s slated to become the largest Pacific Catch to date.
