SAN MATEO, CA – December 17th, 2013 Pacific Catch Restaurants, known for its unique menu offerings and flavors, announced today it has opened its fifth and newest location at 243 South B Street in downtown San Mateo.

The menu features top-quality ingredients, bold spices and sauces, and techniques inspired from regions of the Pacific. The menu focuses on seasonality, sustainability and supporting responsible methods of fishing and farming. A variety of signature items include entrée specials prepared around the fresh daily catch, Latin tacos and Japanese rice bowls and sushi. The restaurant also features a Hawaiian poke bar with eight offerings available for guests to sample and order for take out. The full bar offers a wide selection of handcrafted, seasonal cocktails, a curated beer selection and Pacific region wines.

Inside, guests will enjoy a beautiful dining experience; in a space that features clean lines, rich wood detailing, stacked slate stone and warm colors. Accents include unique blue bottle lights and rice paper lanterns made by local Berkeley artist Helen Holt and paintings by Laura Blair of Marin County. The new restaurant also has a semi-private room as well as an indoor/outdoor patio that opens up to Main Street—both perfect for hosting intimate dining events or enjoying cocktails and a bite before catching a movie next door.

“We’re excited to be apart of the thriving San Mateo restaurant community and to also bring Pacific Catch to our loyal guests that work and live in the Peninsula,” says co-founder Aaron Noveshen.

Pacific Catch was founded in 2003 with its first location on Chestnut Street in San Francisco, followed by Corte Madera in Marin County, 9th Avenue in the Inner Sunset District of San Francisco and Campbell in the South Bay. San Mateo is the fifth location and plans for number six are already in the works with a new Mountain View location opening in 2014.
