Mark Parker, General Manager, San Mateo
Mark was born in Boston, Massachusetts and is a descendent of the Atwoods, a famous New England restaurateur family who founded The Atwood Oyster House in the 1800’s. Now known as the Union Oyster House in Boston, it is the longest, continuously running restaurant in the United States.
For Mark, his hospitality industry journey began in his teenage years, working as a dishwasher in Vermont. From there, he worked many positions, ranging from executive chef of Bentley’s Seafood Grill and Oyster Bar in San Francisco, to general manager at Bon Appetit Management Company and Aramark. In 2012, he joined the Pacific Catch family as manager of the Corte Madera location.
Mark has two daughters and currently resides with his family in San Francisco. When he is not working, he loves to ski at Lake Tahoe. Like many of his fellow Pacific Catch team members, he is a huge Giants baseball fan, but he also enjoys other sports such as basketball, football, and hockey.
