Tony Ames, Restaurant Manager, Campbell

Tory was born in Las Vegas, Nevada where his father was the F&B manager for the Sand’s and the Sarah Hotel from 1958-1964. At the age of ten, Tony began helping out at his father’s restaurant in South Lake Tahoe, sparking a life long passion for the restaurant business. Tony eventually moved to San Francisco at the age of twenty-one, where he worked as a server for House of Prime Rib for 10 years. Upon moving to Sacramento, Tony worked for the Piatti Restaurant Group as the Front of House Manager for both their Sacramento and Roseville locations. Additionally, from 2001 to 2008, Tony was the Service Director for Masque Ristorante, which was voted ‘Best New Italian Restaurant in the Country’ by Esquire Magazine in 2002.

Tony enjoys wine tasting, and has had the opportunity to attend several wine seminars, including private tastings with Marchese Piero Antinori and Gaja Gaja, two well respected wine makers. His other hobbies include bike riding, golfing, and cooking.
